The earth is enough for everyone’s need but not for every man’s greed."

I dont think that we must blame the causes of poverty by mere greed alone. but i think its the ignorance and lack of motivation on the part of our people are also the fundamental causes. Greed alone is not sufficient for policy and poverty failure.

We must eradicate the ignorance of our people and Educate everyone to gain knowledge of the basic causes and remedies for social problems, including the economics, politics, and ethics. There are people who need proper guidance and assistance to establish themselves No 1 in the Population control one way of Alleviating our poverty is to educate the poeple the importance of birth control and family planning. The poorest people in our country have the most children.Programs in family planning and population education must be taken into a serious consideration.

The ignorance and freedom of voting wisely is also anotherfactor..We get what we vote for so we must also educate our people how to vote wisely..We always blame the corrupt politicians for our poverty and misery…for advancing their financial agendas rather than serving honestly.Yes,But the question is Who voted this people? Corruption breeds poverty.Enforcing an effective legal framework is also needed.

Poverty is a complex situation in our country. THe lack of quality consciousness, public awareness, lack of discipline,Crab Mentality,"puwede na yan" mentality and the bahala-na si batman attitude are also some of the contributing factors.

With our vast of natural resources, literate hard working workforce and a good governance maybe..and if we will each and everyone try to help each other then maybe…eradicating poverty is a practical possibility after all.

MDG is it attainable in philippines by 2015?

The Millennium Development Goals(MDG) were derived from the United Nations Millennium Declaration, adopted by 189 nations in 2000.

The 8 Millennium development goals
1. Eradicate Extreme Poverty and Hunger2.Achieve Universal Primary Education3.Promote Gender Equality and Empower Women4.Reduce Child Mortality5.Improve Maternal Health6.Cobmat HIV,AIDS, Malaria and other diseases7.Ensure Environmental Sustainability8.Develop a global partnership for development

According to Hon. Davide in his statement The Philippines gives top priority to achieving the MDGs and even create The policies and strategies in its Medium-Term Philippine Development Plan (MTPDP) 2004-2010 designed to pursue and achieve the MDGs.
He mentioned in his statement the following agendas and plans of the Philippine Gov't to achieve the MDG's

1.The Department of Budget and Management issued policy guidelines and proceduresin the preparation of national and local budget proposalsemphasizing the importance of funding programs, projects and activities in support of the MDGs.

2.A Special Committee on the MDGs was created in the House of Representatives of the Congress of the Philippines , and the latter has formulated an MDG Legislative Agenda prioritizing legislative measures attuned and responsive to early realization of the MDGs.

3.The Department of Interior and Local Governments issued a “Guide to Local Government Units in the Localization of the MDGs” to guide the local government units in interpreting and incorporating the MDGs in their local development planning and budgeting

With the timeframe of 6 years and 225 days... the question is..Is it feasible for the Philippines to achieve this goal? as they say It is easy to set targets but achieving them is the hard part.much more in our country. I dont want to be sound so negative but I dont believe that we can even solve the poverty in our county on a 6 year term much more eradicating it.

With the recent rice shortage and the Gap between haves and have-nots gets wider,a rotten government system, salaries are stagnant and the middle class is shouldering a larger tax burden. housing, tuition, fees, gas and food have soared. This target is next to impossible but the only thing we can do as a citizen of this country is to give our share by working hard and sharing our skills It takes two to tango..Accountability is the word..

Human Development is the key to achieve this goals. Sometimes there are many solutions to one problem, but whether the solutions will work...Its the question.

The Art of Waxing..

I don't usually pamper myself...especiallywaxing. The last time i did it was 3 years ago.but Summer is the time of the year when women are most concerned about removing and the bikini area was the top priority of unwanted hair. I dont have much hair though but lately theres noticeably some hair on my upper lip... so i decided to do it. I opted to try the Veet Ready To Use Wax Strips

Before starting my self mutilation. Im thinking of drinking a bit of wine or liquor or maybe popped an Ibuprofen to endurethe intense pain..
I stand there staring at myself in bathroom mirror...with this little wax strip on my lip.I start off with the upper lip. I took a deep breath and counted, "One, two, three......then I grab the strip, pull my skin tight, close my eyes, and rip the strip off...Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....$%&*#@!*%$#!.........wtf!!!I really hated these.my upper lip area is bright red and feels like it is on fire.

After more than a decade of diligent shaving,I decided pubic maintenance to remain that wayshaving...can't be brave enough to wax it down there
I salute the women who wax their legs, bikini area, and underarms bravely...cheers to these brave, brave womenIt's amazing the amount of work women go through to keep these little buggers from peeking out the sides of their swimsuits.

My greatest influence

My greatest influence

For me a great influence is someone who inspires, and motivates you to become something greater in life. My Mom was the greatest source of my inspiration and strength. She made a great career for herself in education being an educator for almost 25 years in University of the Visayas until she passed away last 1996. I remember during those times how she always again and again explains to me the value of education. I woke up almost every day of my young life watching her how she managed to teach and study her masters degree at the same while taking care of us and she did it with flying colors. she believed that education was the greatest asset you could have.

After graduated in Political Science, I was accepted to teach in the same university where my mom teach. I don’t have the masters degree but they offered me a teaching position anyway. Which I humbly refused since it took me a long time to find out what my heart wanted. I decided to work in the corporate arena. I feel very fortunate that the goals I have formed for myself over the past few years are helping me make the most of every opportunity that presents itself, allowing me to live a life with true meaning. My Mom has always been my inspiration, not only to go for my dreams, but to make sure that my dreams and goals will benefit others and not just me. I did not become an educator like her but she has taught me right from wrong and the significance of self-respect and integrity.

And now being business owner, and an entrepreneur my moms influence gives me a unique perspective. At this point in my life, My business in tours and events is pleasant, and leaves me enough free time to pursue my hobbies. In short, I could have simply sailed happily through life.

But I realized that to do so would be to set a severe limit upon my potential.
My Moms influence for education and knowledge keeps on haunting me to strive for more, learn more and study more and now deep in my heart, I am prepared to dedicate as much time as it takes to get another degreet. I am ready, willing, and prepared to accept the challenge.

Eau de toilette or Eau de parfum?

Eau de toilette or Eau de parfum?

After a few series of boredom for past few weeks...with so much things undone i decided to end my hibernation.......Back to normal life-enough to unfold my hidey-hole and stretch in the sun once more..
The first thing i did was getting a new hair cut..yes, a new haircut from bench fix and deciding to change my old perfume...hehehe i dont know if its part of the boredom series but i feel..wala lang just wanting to get a new scent for a change.

Off i went to rustans (glorietta) drag along a friend to join me in hunting a new scent whew...im looking for somethin mild, something sexy, something unique.... I tried Jy-lo's perfume glow, eau de toilette medyo commom siya.. sweety scent.

The Paris Hilton by Paris Hilton, 3.4 oz Eau De Parfum Spray for women is medyo ok but not really my type of scent. the Britney Spears Fantasy Perfumes medyo flowery yung fragrance nakakahilo..i tried several scents already yet i can't seem to find a replacement for my old perfumeLight Blue by Dolce & Gabbana kahit medyo common na siya pero i still love the scent mild and refreshing...

But since naka tuned in yung mind ko today to look for a new scent so look sniff..look..sniff..After a half day sniffing almost all the perfumes in rustans i finally got two eau de parfums for myself Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker for Women 3.4 oz Eau de Parfum and Eclat D'arpege Perfume LANVIN for Women both medyo mild lang ang scent and a bit classy.

The Eclat D'arpege Perfume by Lanvin is a blend of sicilian lemon leaves, lilac green, wisteria flowers, green tea flowers, peach flowers, red peony, white cedar of lebanon, musk, and amber while the lovely of sarah jessica parker is a beautiful blend of mandarin, rosewood, lavender, apple martini and bergamot. The heart is of orchid, patchoul and finishes off to cedar, white amber.

The guy told me that the Eclat D'arpege is more mabenta to celebrities like charlene gonzaleand kris aquino hmmmmm...sabagay the scent is classy and lightwell..eau de toilette or eau de parfum....which is better???

The difference between eau de toilette and eau de parfum is the concentration of perfume oil in the fragrance. Eau de parfum is the most concentrated form of fragrance, and therefore will last the longest on your skin. while the Eau de toilette, on the other hand, is a lighter form of a fragrance, lingers on the skin for less time.

After splurging for two eau de parfum. (my friend offer to pay the other perfume as valentimes gift) wow hehehe..ang saya..

In return, I treat her a mocha frap in starbucks hehehe...La dolce vita!!!

Fish Oil (Omega 3) a mood stabilizer???

I have a lot of supplies of Kirkland Vitamins supplementscourtesy from my relatives in the US.since im not a vitamin fanatic just hide all of it in the cabinet...then suddenly i wasin urge of looking for anti-stress and anti deppressantherbal altenatives... my doctor advise me to get easyon stress i remember her word......Don't make a mountain out of a mole hill! ....meaning dont make so much out of a little....but my obsessive-compulsive -perfectionist type behaviour doesnt allow me..always i get pissed off in everything not in accordance of my want. I always promise to choose my battlebut always and still small details bothers me at times..intermittent internet connections, incessant calls offering blah..blah..bathroom cleanliness, crack walls,etc......haaahhh...prozac anyone????

I tried to google a natural remedy for stress relieveraside from the taebo, belly dancing, boxing, swimmimg, gym

When finally, i found a site suggested that omega-3 fatty acids can help smooth out the mood swings.Essential Fatty Acids elevate mood, reduce stress and hyperactivity, increase focus, concentration and learning.Increasing our intake of Omega 3 fatty acidsby supplementing with fish oil can play a role in helping us to face and deal with stressful situations....
Suddenly, i rummage my cabinet and voila! i have it..a big bottle of fish oil with 400 softgels..i read the label...suggested use 1 capsules 3x daily am gonna try it..lets see...If intermittent internet connections, incessant calls offering blah..blah..bathroom cleanliness, crack walls,etc...doesnt bother me anymore then for sure i will order truckloads of this
