Road Less Travelled by..

Im an average gal who took the road less travelled since year 2001.In the beginning, full of confidence, hope and excitement. Now,a bit shaken, a bit stirred and a lot wiser. Survived many humbling experiences and expecting more to come.

Have learnt the virtues of patience and perseverance. . I learnt business from two sources: my grandparents and my failures. My grandparents have been an entrepreneur since the early 1960s. Unlike me, They have done a wide variety of things from retail to merchandising while they never managed to build a really large business, it was very inspiring to see them making a lot of efforts. they never gave up. tHey always believed in the power of knowledge and hardwork.

My grandfather was a chinese guy. My great grandfather (SY Co SOn) whos heritage was from Amoy, China. He was a merchant who often travelled to the Philippines had a very frugal attitude towards life. Aside from the chinese heritage....Freedom is the main reason that kicks me out of the working arena. Im not a 9 to 5 person, I hate the idea of having only 1 hour for lunch and expecting to work till late hours and that leaves and absences have to be approved by your boss...I hate to wake up early, i hate falling in line on jeepneys or mrt. I have a lot of weaknesses for a worker enough for me to decide that i should find ways...

Failures in my life have been the second factor.I accept failure and learning. as part of the process..one has to always look at the brighter side of things as an entrepreneur. As an entrepreneur, there will be more down days than up days.

There are times when I feel like just giving up. feel like running away But I realized must persevere. Failure and success are two sides.Life has its ups and downs, happiness and sadness, triumphs and frustration of the same coin. One will come with the other.

My entrepreneurial journey will go on...it maybe bumpy at times but it makes me more stronger and a better person humbled by trials and failures
